Please Major League Baseball, stop trying to reinvent baseball for the sake of a saving some minutes and a few extra runs. I’m fine with some common sense rules like bringing back the bullpen cart, limiting warm up pitches and keeping players moving during at-bats between innings. Advertising could be done differently as well to speed up the game but honestly, that will be quite a hard sell. Point being the game played from February to October is just fine. The love for the game has always been passed on from father or mother to sons and daughters, and as we know everything is not for everybody. Baseball is a highly nuanced game which most times if you don’t pick it up as a kid you probably won’t and that’s okay.
