In addition, the Cavaliers will have 11 games aired nationally on ESPN Radio (Oct. 30 vs. New York, Dec. 25 at Miami, Jan. 19 vs. Chicago, Jan. 25 vs. Oklahoma City, Feb. 5 vs. L.A. Clippers, Feb. 8 vs. L.A. Lakers, Feb. 12 at Chicago, Feb. 22 at New York, Feb. 26 vs. Golden State, April 2 vs. Miami and April 5 vs. Chicago).

wpid-wp-1407969445485.jpegFor the 11th time in franchise history, the Cavaliers will play on Christmas Day as they go on the road to square off against the defending Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat. On Monday, Jan. 19, the Chicago Bulls will visit The Q for a special MLK Day game. Cleveland will also compete on Easter Sunday (April 5) when they host the Chicago Bulls at The Q. The regular season will conclude at The Q on Wednesday, April 15 when the Washington Wizards come to town.

The defending NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs will make their lone appearance at Quickens Loans Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 19. Other marquee opponents coming to Cleveland only once this season include the Houston Rockets on Wednesday, Jan. 7; the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday, Jan. 25; the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday, Jan. 28; the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday, Feb. 5; and the Golden State Warriors on Thursday, Jan. 26.

This season’s 82-game schedule again consists of 41 home and 41 road games. Each Eastern Conference opponent will match up against Cleveland four times with the exception of Charlotte (two home, one road), New York (one home, two road), Orlando (one home, two road) and Philadelphia (two home, one road). Each Western Conference opponent will play the Cavaliers twice, once at The Q and once on the road.

Details regarding the Cavs local television and radio schedule will be announced at a later date.

Other ‘stats’ on Cleveland’s 2014-15 schedule include:

  • 16 home weekend games with five Friday games, four Saturday games and seven Sunday games.
  • Seven matinee games at home this season, which include Dec. 21 vs. Memphis (4:30 p.m.), Dec. 28 vs. Detroit (4:30 p.m.), Jan. 4 vs. Dallas (1:00 p.m.), Jan. 25 vs. Oklahoma City (3:30 p.m.), Feb. 8 at L.A. Lakers (3:30 p.m.), March 29 vs. Philadelphia (1:00 p.m.) and Easter Sunday’s April 5 contest vs. Chicago (3:30 p.m.).
  • 20 sets of back-to-back games, including seven home-road sets, seven road-home sets and six road-road sets.
  • A pair of five-game home stands from Nov. 22-Dec. 2 and Dec. 15-23 highlighted by visits from the Washington Wizards on Nov. 26, the Brooklyn Nets on Dec. 19 and the Memphis Grizzlies on Dec. 21.
  • Their longest road trip, spanning five games from Jan. 9-16, is highlighted by a contest with the Golden State Warriors on Jan. 9 and a back-to-back set with the Los Angeles Lakers (Jan. 15) and Los Angeles Clippers (Jan. 16), both at the STAPLES Center.
  • Four times the Cavs have two consecutive road games, twice they have three road games in a row, three times with four consecutive road contests and one five-game road trip.
  • The Cavs will have five two-game home stands, two three-game home stands, one four-game home stand and twice with five home games in a row.
  • 16 occasions in which the Cavs will play three games in four nights.
  • From Nov. 10-Dec. 2, the Cavs will play nine of 11 games at The Q. They also host 10 of 13 games from Jan. 19-Feb. 11.
  • Cleveland will play 10 of 14 games on the road from Dec. 25-Jan. 16, as well as 12 of 15 games on the road from Feb. 12-March 16.
  • After the home opener against New York (Oct. 30), Cleveland will be on the road for four straight contests (Oct. 31-Nov. 7).
  • Six of the last eight games of the regular season will take place at The Q.
